Plateau Wireless Completes 20th New Cell Site for 2006

(Clovis, NM) --- Plateau Wireless recently announced the completion of its 20th new cell site for 2006. The new sites are a small part of an aggressive system-wide upgrade which includes up to 10 more additional new sites by the year’s end. The sites are strategically positioned across the company’s 67,000 square mile service area to increase capacity, coverage, and enhance quality of service.

We are investing almost $8 million this year in rural New Mexico and western Texas to achieve that goal. In addition to new towers and cell sites, Plateau Wireless has completed extensive upgrades to the entire network with new switching hardware, software, and equipment. Additional enhancements are on-going and scheduled to continue for the rest of the year.
