USF OFFERING Lifeline is a government program that offers qualified people a discount on their monthly local telephone bill. You will save $ 8.76 on your basic monthly bill. These benefits apply to your local telephone service charges that you purchase as a flat rate service. Lifeline customers may purchase the Safety and Security plan, Plateau's USF offering. How do I know if I'm eligible?
You must be at or below 135% of the federal poverty level guidelines, based on family size and annual household.
Lifeline can only be used for the main telephone line in a household. The name on the phone bill must match the name of the participant in the eligible program. Linkup support reimburses local service providers for providing discounted connection charges to eligible low-income consumers. Consumers qualifying for Link Up support are eligible to save up to 50 percent on installation fees or $12.50. If you qualify for Lifeline, you also qualify for Link-Up. |
